As with any new skill, those launching a new search engine optimized website should prepare themselves to make at least a few SEO mistakes.  Still, since you’re not the first to take on this challenge – and provided you’re willing to learn about some of the most chronic errors made by your predecessors, you stand to start off on solid ground.  To that end, let’s take a look at three of the most commonly committed SEO mistakes.

SEO Mistake #1: Forgetting to utilize the title tag.  Search engines look here too.

SEO Mistake #2: Not using optimized text in the site’s main text.

SEO Mistake #3: Focusing on the quantity of search engines versus the quality.  The top 10 search engines account for nearly all internet searches, end of story.

SEO Mistake #4:  Scarce and outdated copy Tagging your pages isn’t all there is to SEO.  There needs to be plenty of content for search engines to read. Websites with old content will also turn off search engines

SEO Mistake #5: Not optimizing the right keywords.  Keywords that are too generic are also very competitive and less likely to get you a high search result.  Try to find key phrases that are less competitive and more relevant to your particular business.

SEO Mistake #6 : Using The Same Title Tags On Every Page Many companies make the mistake of repeating their company’s name as the title tag for each of their web pages.  Since your company likely already gets you high search results, this is a waste of valuable and searchable real estate.

SEO Mistake #7:  Using images for headlines instead of fonts. The headline area is a key searchable area.  Using words built with images to create a custom font is an unwise use of this space.

SEO Mistake #8: Building a website entirely in Flash.  Search engines can not search a flash-only site.

SEO Mistake #9: Waiting until the website is “done” before doing SEO.  If anything, SEO should be integrated into your entire design process.

Marketers often use services associated with Article Marketing because Unique Articles can drive massive amounts of traffic to the affiliates blog websites.
